There was a time when I started or rewrote a website every few months. But t’s been a few years. Why did I stop? I moved and entered a pretty difficult time of my life, then started a new job that came with a commute of up to two hours either way. Who had the time? Then along came a child and my computer was packed away.

While I have created two sites since then, one for my partner and one for myself they were out of the box. Pulled together in spare hours here and there lacking the endless hours poring over code that I’d previously given them. Maybe one day I’ll be that person again, maybe that phase of life is closed. We shall see.

I like to tell myself this is the last site. That I’ve put behind me developing separate brands for all the different things I like to make. However every craft/homemade business book/podcast/youtube video will tell you to choose one media and stick to it. That mixing media and crafts is a huge mistake and only confuses potential customers and turns them away.
As someone who has managed to accrue five instagram accounts, for different hobbies or creative pursuits, I feel quite fragmented. I want to bring them together and turn my back on that mindset. As a previous owner of several websites I have many old blogs that I’d like to roll into this one bringing everything together into one place.

I long to finally deal with neglected places I built on the internet that feel forgotten and vying for attention. Taking all these scraps of me and bringing them together into a more authentic whole. This is why we’re here. Trying to simplify things. Make things streamline and more manageable for someone already dividing themself into employee, spouse and mother.
Wish me luck.
Simplify is a way of life! I love the feel here it captures you well!
