Description
Interwoven and knotted cotton string over a hand painted star and cross design in metallic purple and red.
The background design was painted using hand made stencils.
The macrame like knotting is stretched across the frame like an erratic spider web with loose ends dangling freely.
The overall size is 417 mm by 303 mm (16.42 by 11.93 inch).
This piece was completed in February 2017 as the ninth of a series of artworks I was working on at the time and is being offered for sale now for the first time. It took me 11 days to make this piece.
