Description
Primarily made from organza ribbon sourced from gifts received and leftover ribbon from gifts sent, Way Of The Wind has ribbon of forrest green and olive green interwoven with thin white and light blue ribbon and one thicker strand of blue handsewn onto a reused frame.
The embroidery is in gold tone metallic thread and pictures a woman in profile with her hair streaming behind her in a strong wind.
The backing is blue floral scrapbooking paper painted with her shadow in black.
The overall size is 487 mm by 285 mm (19.17 by 11.22 inch).
This piece was completed in September 2013 as the first of a series of artworks I made that year and is being offered for sale now for the first time. It took me 10 days to make this piece.
